I had a phone call with my editor this afternoon. I <3 her. She is a genius.

Anyway, we have agreed upon my Summer 2010 book (the second book in my two book deal) and I am raring to get writing!!

Sadly, I can't share any details about it yet. It's Super Seeekret. I shall announce it all as soon as I am given clearance. So you KNOW you want to keep an eye on my blog, right?

Until then, you just get this teeny tiny hint....

There will be a life-sized My Little Pony.

Now, to get to work! :-)

I have a few questions for you, Mandy:

1. Can I have the Life Size My Little Pony? Is that possible? Cool. Awesome. :-)

2. What exactly are you doing in NYC? (Thats really my mother asking but when she asked, I was like "um um ummm...")

3. Congratulations. Okay so thats not a question. But WOO HOO!!!!! Yay for book #3 (that includes your NASCAR book)!!!!!!

1. I am totally taking orders. What color would you like?

2. Going to NYC to have a semi-business related trip-- meeting my two editors and agent, writing my Summer 2010 book, and doing a book signing.

3. YAY! THanks!

1. Well my favorite was the light pink...hmm maybe it was purple..with blue hair.

(I just got the My Little Pony theme song stuck in my head!!!!!!!!!)

2. Thanks! I just told my mom to not make any definite plans then. :-) Semi business related... OBVIOUSLY meeting your Mass/New Jersey street team lady, Rachel! ;-)

3. How *is* that Nascar book going? Or is it left for another time?

Oooh, the MLP theme song. SWEEET.

And the nascar book is also due this fall-- Sept 1, and the Razorbill book is due Oct 1...so I get to write both books this summer!

Wow--you haven't even started writing it and it will be out next summer?

Dude, that's quick. Good luck!

I second Heidi - I just turned in my book for next summer for copy edits - and you're just now starting to draft??? Oh, my. That is pressure, girl! Good luck!

Yeah, actually I'm not too stressed about doing a first draft in 90 days. It's more that I also have a NASCAR novella due September 1 and have 20K+ to write on that. EEK!

It'll be busy but well worth it, and it WILL be done!

I am jealous you're in copy edits. . . but I think its common for debuts to be way ahead of the curve since they've never worked with you, and follow-ups to be tighter with deadlines to keep a regular schedule of releases.

A life sized pony? I don't need to know anymore. I'm already down for reading it. Oh wait, one thing. Is it going to be pink??

That's exciting! :D And who wouldn't was a life-size My little Pony? When I was a kid, I played a lot more with those than with dolls! :D

I was at a B&N in Rockville, MD today and they had a good-sized stack of Prada & Prejudice! I took one home with me and am enjoying it right now.

I had a pink My Little Pony with purple hair. It was awesome.
