it came out so freaking cute! and the company (imagekind.com) did an awesome job. The print looks flawless (crystal clear), the matting and frame are purty, and they have all the hardware already mounted to the frame and include the nail/hook to hang it. Literally it took three raps with a hammer and it was hanging up, five minutes after I excitedly ripped open the box.
the icon is from an earlier cover version. They gave me three choices. The one I picked, this one, and this one with the same double-strapped heels as the cover.
imagekind.com! They do ALL the work, you just upload your cover, and choose the matting and framing. They even show you what it looks like as you go along--sort of a mock-up--and it totally looks EXACTLY like they said it would.
Plus, its well made, the print is crystal clear (I had my doubts that it could be blown-up that large without going fuzzy)and they include the hook to pound into the wall. It literally took 30 seconds to hang it. Definite two thumbs up from me! You might find cheaper, but you wont find better.
Well, it WAS neat. I *MAY* have cleaned it for a photo-op. And then received my final pass pages the next day, which I promptly scattered across the desk.
if it makes you feel better, the other side of the room houses an ugly black metal file cabinet (a hand-me-down), a $20 walmart bookshelf, and ugly yellow miniblinds. Also, the closet door and bedroom door has no moulding around it. (You can see that in the picture on the left...).
Love it! Doesn't it feel awesome? Have you been doing what I did when I first put my poster of my book up? I kept staring at it and touching it, not believing that yes, that was MY book!
Prada and Prejudice is in its Fourth Printing! Time Magazine mentions Prada & Prejudice in their July 13th issue! Actress Abigail Breslin is reading it and says, "I love fashion and am fascinated by history. This book combines both."
School Library Journal calls Prada and Prejudice, "A fun and charming read, sure too be popular with fans of humor and romance."
Publisher's Weekly calls it, "Part comedy of errors, part romantic-fantasy, this fast-reading, playful novel takes the idea of feeling out of place to a hilarious extreme"

What's with the different angle of legs in your icon vs. your poster?!
(Did you ever give the details on where you ordered it from? *might have missed it*)
